A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced leader in Aged Care, to join the Nganampa Health Council team as an Aged Care Program Manager on a part-time contract basis (0.6FTE/ 3 days a week).
The successful incumbent will preferably be based in Alice Springs, however an alternative location could be negotiated for the right person.
Reporting to the Health Services Manager, you will provide leadership and coordination of the Nganampa Health Council Aged Care Residential (Tjilpiku Pampaku Ngura) and Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) services on the APY Lands.
Your key responsibilities will include:
The successful candidate will have the proven ability to lead, communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team in a cross cultural and complex environment. Although not essential, tertiary qualifications in health administration or aged care would be highly regarded.
The successful Aged Care Manager will have proven leadership experience in planning, implementing, managing and evaluating health programs. Your extensive knowledge of current policy settings, funding arrangements and Government agencies relevant to the Indigenous aged care sector will be what sets you apart from other candidates.
You will have high level verbal and written communication skills, high level submission and report writing skills and proven Information Technology skills sufficient for the production of submissions and reports, presentations and spreadsheets.
To be considered, you must be willing to undergo a Police Check prior to commencing employment and hold a current First Aid Certificate and manual driver’s licence.

The Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands is located in the far north-western region of South Australia. It covers approximately 103,000 sq km with a population of approximately 3,500 Anangu people. The region is freehold land controlled by the Anangu people.
